It's a nice little motel. We had to take refuge from some inclement weather and Whisper at the front desk did a great and very thorough job of letting us know what would happen if weather got worse. Cute breakfast room. This morning the biscuits and gravy were amazing!
Stayed there. Big Mistake! Had a basement level room, across the breakfast area. Musty, dusty room. There was black-Ish grey marks on the floor of the bathtub. Rusty yellow sink. AC did not work/ cool. Smelled like exhaust from a car. Opened the curtains only to find dirty windows and spider webs. I asked for another room, and they said they were booked. And house keeping staff was gone for the day. The only place that I felt was clean was the pool. There was so much chlorine in it, it made your eyes red without being in the water. I woud have gladly slept in the pool chairs.
Wear ear plugs! My wife and I were woken through the night by creaking and knocking upstairs. The building is very old and made lots of noise just walking to the bathroom. Everything else was incredibly mediocre for the price.
STAY AWAY!
Nice proximity to highway and good river view when staying on the west side of the buildings. Also right near a beautiful war memorial. There is a Sinclair station right next to the hotel for your convenience and gas needs. This Super 8 also has the now pretty typical waffle makers, which I cannot resist. The room was fine apart from the remote not being able to control the TV volume. I re-paired the remote with the television and all was well. The light in the bathroom was also sometimes very dim, but I didn't feel the need to ask for it to be fixed. Overall it was a great place to stop for the night!
Affordable place to stay for exhausted travelers. Front desk staffer Whisper was awesome! Clean room, good breakfast to start the day.
