I love St. Joseph and so do hundreds of children they have helped.
I am an Alumni of this school. I attended school here 1st through 12th grade. I transferred to a few schools during part of fourth and fifth grade due to family issues but I liked St.Joseph's so I returned and continued. This school is amazing. The faculty are friendly and nice. I call a lot of the faculty my hunka family (adopted by heart family). St. Joseph's taught me well in all aspects of life from education, religion, Lakota culture, physical health, mental health, hygiene, time management, budgeting, volunteering, driving, cleaning, advocating for your self, sustaining yourself after high school, and they continue to encourage/support you through college. I am a senior in college right now. I am so thankful for the many opportunities that were provided through the school to not only me but to my peer, the previous alumni, and now to its current student body.
I was pleased with the care by teachers and administrators. The culture and language is being perserved and the children are carefully cared for by house parents.
Boy, would you feel like a fool when you discover you judged before you

those people who post that St. Joseph is not what it claims to be
I like the art museum and the encouragement.
I want YOU TO GET A LIFE AND BACK UP YOUR WORDS. Or get off
It is operated by highly educated personal who understand the importance of Native Americans, and their struggles in today's society.I can only thank this foundation for the importance put forth for education.
I have been supporting St Josephs with various small amounts, but never have I ever felt my small contributions haven't been appreciated. It doesn't matter if I send a gift or if I send $ - St Josephs has always been grateful. I wish I could give millions but myself am low income and sometimes it is all I can do to send a small amount but St Josephs always has been thankful and keep me in the loop. Thank you St Josephs for being there for the children & supporting their culture which is very important to me that native culture be learned & not forgotten. Big blessings & prayers are sent your way.
knew what is what.
Being a native South Dakotan I have appreciated this school. So often Catholic schools have tried to take away the culture of indigenous people. Within the last decade I made a trip to the school to check out the school from my California home base of 40 yesrs.
My cousin also from South Dakota and I his 80's had concern of the financial accountability. I trust that the funds are being used responsibly.
